Radio Version

What’s the best way to access all the benefits we know about physical activity and exercise?

The University of Calgary’s Dr. Nicole Culos-Reed joins us once again on Health. Wellness. And You to discuss the benefits of physical activity. Today, Dr. Culos-Reed offers some advice on how to get a physical activity routine started in your life. Dr. Culos-Reed also shares how exercise may be the most important tool available as we endure the social isolation and challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you’re thinking of starting an exercise routine, please consult with a medical professional to ensure you can do so safely. Click here for a self-screening questionnaire for participating in exercise.

The Canadian Society for Exercise Psychology (CSEP) has 24 Movement Guidelines (ages 18-65, and 65+), which can be accessed here: https://csepguidelines.ca/
