Vaccination efforts are ramping up in the province, as 45.4 percent of Manitobans over the age of 18 have had their first dose.

Today public health officials announced 329 new cases of COVID-19 in the province.

Public health officials advise no new deaths in people with COVID-19 have been reported today.

The total number of deaths in people with COVID-19 in the province remains at 997.

Dauphin has one new case, for a total 21 active cases.

There have been 71 recoveries and 3 deaths in Dauphin since the beginning of the pandemic.

Today’s COVID-19 data shows:   
•    24 cases in the Interlake-Eastern health region 
•    eight cases in the Northern health region    
•    34 cases in the Prairie Mountain Health region    
•    28 cases in the Southern Health-Santé Sud health region 
•    235 cases in the Winnipeg health region

There have been 4,611 variant cases in the province, 1,810 of which are active.

Prairie Mountain Health has had 427 variant cases, 326 of the B.1.1.7. strain, one of the B.1.3.5.1. strain, and 100 unspecified.

The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 12percent provincially and 14.2 percent in Winnipeg.

There are 3,837 active cases and 37,945 individuals who have recovered from COVID-19.

There are 154 people in hospital with active COVID-19 and 60 people in hospital who are no longer infectious but continue to require care, for a total of 214 hospitalizations.  

There are 48 people in intensive care units with active COVID-19 and 11 people who are no longer infectious but continue to require critical care, for a total of 59 ICU patients. 

According to the province’s data, there are active cases of COVID-19 in the following Parkland health districts: Dauphin (21), Riding Mountain (4), Swan River (3), Porcupine Mountain (67), Duck Mountain (0), Agassiz Mountain (63), Asessippi (11), Little Saskatchewan (40), Whitemud (18). Brandon has 100 active cases.

In the Interlake, the Eriksdale/Ashern health district has 21 active cases of COVID-19. The Fisher/Peguis health district has nine active cases.
