KATY PERRY SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW
Aside from a brief twerk moment and a bit of jiggling, Katy Perry didn't do anything that would make anyone too upset during the Super Bowl halftime show. She entered the stadium singing ``Roar'' on a giant gold tiger that appeared to be a big robot, which led to ``Dark Horse.'' Her brief twerking was with Lenny Kravitz as they dueted on ``I Kissed A Girl.'' Perry was backed by dancing sharks and smiling beach balls for ``Teenage Dream'' and ``California Gurls.'' Her special guest was Missy Elliott, who did a medley of her own hits. Perry ended the show with ``Firework'' as she was raised on a star above the stadium.

IDINA MENZEL, JOHN LEGEND PERFORM AT SUPER BOWL
It's not Idina Menzel's fault that people booed while she sang the national anthem at the Super Bowl yesterday. Patriots coach Bill Belichick was shown on the big screen in the stadium while she sang, which prompted the booing. Menzel seemed happy with her performance, though. She shouted out ``yes!'' at the end. Afterwards, Menzel says she wasn't worried the booing was for her because she knew that she hit the note well and she was given a warning such a thing might happen. John Legend also performed during the pregame show, singing ``America The Beautiful.''

For Steven Tyler, it was a good weekend. Not only did the Aerosmith frontman turn it out at the Rolling Stone party - but his beloved New England Patriots won the Super Bowl.
During his show, Tyler did hits like ``Dream On.'' But he could have kept the mic off, as the audience sang along with him most of the time. British singer Charli X-C-X also performed. She said she didn't realize the Super Bowl was about football until a few months ago.

MICHAEL JACKSON'S MOM LOSES APPEAL OF AEG LIVE CASE
A California appeals court upheld a jury's decision that concert promoter AEG Live was not responsible for the death of Michael Jackson. His mother, Katherine, had argued for a new trial, claiming A-E-G was negligent in hiring Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted in causing Jackson's death. The court disagreed with her claims that the verdict was not legal and that the instructions and verdict form confused the jury. Katherine Jackson's attorney says his office is still reading the ruling and did not have immediate comment. An A-E-G attorney says the appeals court found what the jury found: that A-E-G is not responsible for Michael Jackson's death.

JOURNALIST ORDERED TO SAY HOW SHE ACQUIRED DIARY OF JAMES BROWN'S WIDOW
A judge has issued a restraining order against a journalist covering the fight over James Brown's estate to make her reveal how she got ahold of the diary of Brown's widow. Sue Summer has been ordered not to publish anything from Tomi (TAH'-mee) Ray Hynie's diary, but the order came after Summer already posted portions on her Facebook page. Summer has been ordered to bring her notes and phone records to a court hearing today. Summer has said the diary was sent to her anonymously. Hynie and Brown's children have been fighting over Brown's estate for eight years.
