The former treasurer of a Manitoba community club is facing theft and fraud charges after a lengthy police investigation.
Selkirk RCMP began an investigation in May of 2015 after the St. Andrews Community Club raised suspicions of mismanagement of a large amount of the club's money.
Police say a thorough and lengthy investigation led to the execution of two search warrants this past weekend
A 53-year-old woman from the RM of St. Andrews has been charged with theft over $5000.00 and making false entry on a ledger.
The woman was released on a recognizance for a court appearance at the Selkirk Provincial court in May.
