Now that phase one has been completed, it's now time to keep fundraising for phase two.
The Winnipegosis Playground Committee had a fundraiser recently where they received $1,039.45 to have them now sit somewhere around $32,000 for the reconstruction of the elementary school playground.
Paul Lippens, president of the Winnipegosis playground committee says they need $110-thousand dollars in order to replace the actual play structure at the elementary school and the support from the community has been great.
"We are very excited with where we've come so far and the amount of money that we've raised. We are not a big big community so we don't have a a huge draw. But everyone has been very supportive and has been really helpful."
Lippens also says they have another fundraiser coming up on April 23rd at the Mosey River Inn. They will be doing a Elimination Draw again. With that, there is the option of buying a supper ticket and draw ticket, or just the draw ticket.
