The Green Party of Manitoba has a plan to introduce a guaranteed annual income, something with some historical significance to Dauphin.
Kate Storey is the Dauphin candidate for the April 19th election.
She says the plan is fully costed and could reduce poverty by half if implemented.
"The Green Party's platform is to reduce poverty and create jobs in a clean economy."
Darrell Inkster is running for the Manitoba Party in Dauphin, Darcy Scheller is the NDP candidate, and Brad Michaleski carries the Progressive Conservative banner.
