Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Swan River and Grand Rapids areas.
On the Manitoba side of the region, 10-20 cm of snow are expected today, and up to 30 cm in the nearby Saskatchewan area.
Environment Canada says, while snow has mostly died down in Swan River as of 3:30pm, the area just north of the town could still get hit pretty hard.
They are advising people to postpone non-essential travel to the areas until conditions improve.
