Team Manitoba's pitching staff is bolstered by three pitchers from Dauphin. Will Hlady, Rheal Letain, and Brandon Racette, are each representing the Parkland on the provincial squad.
Racette saw some time on the mound yesterday, throwing 2.2 innings, giving up one run, and throwing one strikeout. Manitoba eventually lost the game 6-1 to Nova Scotia.
Manitoba sits in Pool B with Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Quebec, and Prince Edward Island.
They'll play each team in their pool once during the preliminary round.
Thursday they play Newbrunswick, and Newfoundland and Labrador. Friday they play Quebec, and Saturday Manitoba ends their round robin with a game against PEI.
