Three Canadian women in sports were amoung the 113 new members named to the Order of Canada today.

Natalie Lambert is a gold-medal winning Olympic speed skater, three time world champion and Canadian flag-bearer.
Kathryn Shields has been a staple in the Canadian women's basketball spectrum. Coaching Team Canada, and becoming a notable figure in BC for her long tenure as head coach of the U Vic Vikettes.
Cassie Campbell is a hockey reporter and sports broadcaster, but is best remembered for her role in the 2002 and 2006 Olympics, captaining Team Canada's women's hockey team to two gold medals.
