No team had scored 13 goals in a game this season. Until Saturday night when the Dauphin Kings did.

Four different Kings scored two goals apiece as Dauphin destroyed the Winnipeg Freeze, 13-3, to earn their 23rd win of the season and have now won two of their three games in 2025.

From start to finish, Dauphin put on a clinic as they scored seven goals in the first period and another five in the third in their biggest win of the season. Cayden Glover, who celebrated his 21st birthday on Saturday, Madden Murray, Ethan Stewart, and Ethan Williment all scored twice.

Both of Williment's goals were short handed while Madden had a chance to complete the hat trick late in the third when he was sprung on a breakaway, however, he couldn't beat the Freeze netminder. Dauphin finished with a season-high 66 shots and went 1-for-4 on the penalty kill and 2-for-3 on the power play.

Joey Kubas, Daniel Helary, Matthew Haun, Rylan Gage, and Gabriel Bugeaud also scored for Dauphin. Haun had three assists while Glover and Stewart also had two assists to finish with four points. Bryson Yaschyshyn finished with 17 saves.

Dauphin will host Swan Valley on Tuesday night to conclude a mini two-game homestand before heading on the road for games next weekend against Winkler and the Winnipeg Blues. You can hear both games with Darnell Duff, beginning with the Parkland Source for Sports pregame show at 7:20 on Friday and Saturday.
