The Dauphin Clippers varsity girls volleyball team entered the provincial championships as the fourth-ranked team in the province and they finished one spot higher than that this weekend.
Hosting the provincial AAA championships at Credit Union Place, Dauphin battled their way to a bronze medal on Saturday afternoon. In a tense third place match that went down to the wire, Dauphin downed Westgate in three sets, 17-25, 25-22, and 15-13.
The championship capped off a great season for the team which included winning a tournament just a couple of weeks ago at their home tournament.
