Jayce Legaarden is putting together an all-star season with the Parkland U18 Rangers and we now know where he will suit up next year. The Grandview native has signed his letter of intent with the MJHL's Winkler Flyers.
The signing means the Ranger will join one of the top organizations in the league.
"It felt amazing, Winkler is an amazing organization and I can't wait to get started with them," said Legaarden.
The Ranger has also had the chance to experience the junior hockey lifestyle as he played in two games with the team this season.
"It was a tremendous experience, I had such a great time," said Legaarden. "It was great to see the players and meet everyone in the organization."
Jayce leads Parkland this season with 37 goals, the third most in the U-18 provincial circuit and he's added 22 assists as well.
"I worked on some things in the off-season and it's paying off," said Legaarden. "With that said, I couldn't do it without my teammates, they help me succeed."
Legaarden also says it's not all about the points, he wants to win with this group and right now, Parkland is in a playoff spot. You can catch the team in action on Friday in Roblin at 7:30 as they play the Norman Northstars.
