Four different players scored for the Dauphin Kings, helping the club to a 4-1 victory over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines Tuesday night at Credit Union Place.
It was also the second straight game the Kings gave up just one goal against.
Early on the contest was a bit slow, with the first goals not coming until the later stages of the second period. Wayway opened the scoring at the 12:42 mark of the middle frame. After that Riley Zimmer had a breakaway for the Wolverines but was turned aside by Dauphin goalie Jarrod Schamerhorn. It was a massive save at the time, because after the Kings went up the ice and David Brumm (7) scored to tie the contest. They then scored again just over a minute later when Graeme Hore (2) made a nice move to the net and went short side high. Things were tight in the third period but eventually Landon Plett (3) broke through to give the Kings insurance and make it 3-1. Stephen Sisco (2) added an empty netter with less than a second to play in the third.
