Wildfire Smoke Continues To Pour Over Manitoba

City Of Dauphin Targeting Non-Recyclers
The City of Dauphin's recycling push continues.
CAO Brad Collett says they have all the intelligence as to who's recycling and who isn't.
"The numbers are staggeringly low. I would suggest in single family residential, there's a substantial portion of the community that is not recycling, and so our recycling coordinator is visiting door to door right now trying to figure why and doing a survey with the people when they talk to them."
If you're in a residential unit and the city finds you don't recycle, they will visit you and offer a free blue box provided you complete a survey.
Collett says the program is just about complete in terms of apartments.

Winter Wheat On Display Tuesday Afternoon
Parkland crop producers are being invited out to a production tour in the Fork River area this afternoon.
Michael Thiele - a promotions coordinator with the Western Winter Wheat Initiative - says they'll be looking at winter wheat, and perennial rye grass.
"I think there's some really good reasons to look at both of these crops. Add a little diversity to your crop rotation, and also I think some profitability."
The meeting takes place at 1:30pm.
Those interested are asked to meet at Joe Cottick's farm - west side of Highway 20 at Road 170.

NBC Tells Trump "You're Fired"
NBC is ending its relationship with Donald Trump over recent comments he made about Mexican immigration while announcing his run for the Republican nomination for the US presidency.
The network says it will no longer air Trump's annual ``Miss USA'' and ``Miss Universe'' pageants, nor will it continue with Trump as host of ``The Apprentice'' and its celebrity offshoot.
Trump's reply was that a ``weak'' NBC should prepare to meet him in court.
