Drinking water with lots of algae can cause severe vomiting, staggering and even death.
Dr. Roxanne Neufeld with the clinic confirms one animal died yesterday from drinking the water.
Dr. Neufeld advises pet owners whose animals may have ingested some of the algae to contact their vet immediately, and get the animal to a clinic as quick as possible.
