A wake will be held in Winnipeg today for 11-year-old Teresa Robinson.
Police say her death is being investigated as a homicide after her partial remains were found on the Garden Hill First Nation earlier this month.
David Harper, grand chief of the MKO, says the wake is open to members of the public.
He says there are a lot of friends and family members in Winnipeg who can't come out for the funeral at the Garden Hill First Nation on Thursday.
Province Keeping Survey Results Secret
The Manitoba government is keeping survey results on its Steady Growth, Good Jobs advertising campaign secret under the province's freedom of information law.
The government tested the slogan on a select group of people in 2013 before adopting it.
A freedom of information request from The Canadian Press for the findings was rejected.
The finance department said they were protected because they were prepared for a committee of cabinet and related to the formulation of policy.
In Manitoba, virtually any document prepared for the provincial cabinet must be shielded from the public view.
Rachel Notley welcomed Albertans to the first day of the province's new government.
Notley and her 11 cabinet ministers were officially sworn in on the steps of the Alberta Legislature yesterday.
The cabinet will hold its first meetings, in Calgary, on Wednesday and Thursday.
Legislature members will be sworn in on June 1st.
Another Drive-In Goes Down
One of the last drive-in movie theatres in Manitoba won't be opening this summer.
Joanne Struss of the Shamrock Drive-In in Killarney says the reason is difficulty in obtaining 35-millimetre film.
Struss says they remain hopeful they can acquire a used digital system so they can re-open next year.
Struss says the drive in will still be open for a pre-planned VW night in August.
