Thousands of Manitobans in the south end of the province are without power this morning.
The weather and road conditions are improving, but yesterday's storm knocked down trees and power lines across southern Manitoba.
Manitoba Hydro spokesmen Scott Powell says all staff have been mobilized, and service across the province will hopefully be restored by the end of the day.
Powell says the northern Parkland area seems to have escaped the brunt of the storm, but some communities in and around Neepawa, Virden, and Brandon are still without power.
Powell is advising that if you have an outage to report it to Hydro, but be aware of the heavy call volumes and possible wait times.
He also warns people to stay away from any downed lines, as they are a serious safety threat.
