The community indoor playground at Parkland Crossing will be undergoing a major face lift.

According to Lisa Morley, assistant administrator at Parkland Crossing, there will be new flooring, new carpets and a new play structure added to the playground.

Morley says there is a way for people to lend a hand in the projects completion.

"We have these little cards that we are giving out. These cards basically give people the opportunity to leave and hand print, and we'll put different hand prints in the playground itself or outside the playground towards going inside the door. Each hand print will be a donation and you could put your child's name on it or a grandchild's name on it or your own name on it. Just to say that you helped build this."

Morley says the renovations are scheduled to take place during the month of August, and the playground will be closed to the public during that time.

The project is expected to cost around $50,000

People looking to get involved in the project by donating funds can contact Parkland Crossing at (204) 638-3333.
