A big change is coming to Swan Valley's Louisiana-Pacific mill, pending regulatory approval.
Louisiana-Pacific's board of directors has approved funding to convert the Swan Valley OSB facility to a mill that produces siding.
Swan Valley plant manager Kevin Betcher says they are adding 43 new jobs. He says some are trades positions, but the bulk of the jobs are production-line-related.
The conversion is expected to begin late this summer and Betcher says they expect to finish in the fourth quarter of this year.
LP says it will spend $95-million on the conversion.
