The future of the Dauphin and District Food Bank will be discussed at a special public meeting next Tuesday night.

Food bank board chair Robin Gambler says they have yet to find a new location, and must be out of their current location at Parkland Crossing by the end of September.
"We need about 2,500 square feet, because we do have a lot of fridges, freezers, our computer spaces, storage and shelving for food.  We need quite a bit of room."
Gambler adds it would be devastating if the Food Bank had to close its doors.
"When you are serving about 400 people a month, that is 400 people that are not going to have access to the healthy food that we give."

The meeting is open to the public and will take place on June 24th at 7 pm in the back hall of the Dauphin Friendship Centre.
