The two vacancies on the municipal council for Swan Valley West will be filled by the end of the night tonight.
Carrie Blosha, Bill Gade, Don Machan, Dave Minish, Lonny Riehl and Nick Sasyniuk are competing in a by-election that was called following the resignation of Marion Meadows and Wayne Alford in January.
Senior Election Official Betty Nemetchek, says voter turn out so far has been strong.
"We have six councilors running for two positions, and even at the advanced voting we had a lot of people out, and today it is steady. They are coming in. For the advanced, we had a little over 200."
The polls are open until 8:00pm tonight at the Swan Valley West municipal office and at the Benito Legion Hall.
