Rough Weather
If you haven't been outside yet, it's a bit blustery.
There's enough snow and ice out there that Mountain View School Division and Turtle River School Division have cancelled all buses for the day and Lakeshore School Division has cancelled classes.
A warm front has moved in from Saskatchewan, bringing snow and freezing rain with it.
Environment Canada says further east, the system is expected to remain as snow.

Hope for Change in La Loche
Some community leaders in La Loche, Saskatchewan, say they hope last week's terrible mass shooting will be a catalyst for change.
The violent deaths of four people at a school and in a home have exposed La Loche and its social problems to national scrutiny.
Leonard Montgard, executive director of the La Loche Friendship Centre, suggests locals should look at it as a call to action.
He says the stigma of the shooting could discourage people from setting up new businesses in the town, so he says it's important for community members to do that themselves.

Child Welfare Ruling
The Canadian Human Rights Tribunal has ruled that Ottawa fell well short on child welfare services for reserves.
Darlene MacDonald, Manitoba's Children's Advocate, says the ruling could pave the way for real and long overdue improvements for First Nations children and their families.
Premier Greg Selinger agrees it is a good first step.
He says the child welfare system is a place where a lot of problems can be prevented by the proper investments early in a young child's life.

Canada to Lift Some Sanctions on Iran
Foreign Affairs Minister Stephane suggests Canada must get in on the business to be had with Iran, now that our allies are lifting sanctions against the country in the wake of a new nuclear pact.
He says Canada will be lifting some sanctions against Iran, while maintaining others.
Dion says doing so will help Canadian firms, as Iran is anxious to do business again with the West.
Conservative foreign affairs critic Tony Clement is urging the Liberal government to maintain a hardline and keep our embassy in Tehran closed, saying to lift sanctions against a "state sponsor of terrorism'' is a bad move.
