"Revenge Porn" Protection Law Now in Effect in Manitoba
The Canadian Centre for Child Protection says it has received 350 reports in 10 months from across the country about sexual images being shared online without people's consent.
And nearly half the cases involved teenagers between 15 and 17.
Director Lianna McDonald was on hand yesterday as the Manitoba government marked a new law against so-called revenge porn.
Any Manitoban whose intimate images are shared without consent may now sue the perpetrators.
