Parkland Corporation Looking to Build Buckwheat Mill
A buckwheat mill is in the works for Ethelbert.
Parkland Mill Group president Pauline Fonder says they're hoping to be in operation for harvest of 2016.
"It won't take long to put the mill up. What's taking long is getting the investment -- getting the investors' attention, right? You can't show them a feasibility study. They want to see how they're going to make money."
The province announced Friday it is giving $40,000 to the Parkland Mill group.
Fonder says a feasibility study has been done and the money will go to finalizing a business plan.
