Extreme Cold Weather Warning in Effect Across Parkland
Environment Canada issued an extreme cold warning for the communities of Dauphin, Gilbert Plains, Grandview, Ethelbert, Roblin, Lakeshore, Russel-Binscarth, Mossey River, and Riding Mountain West.
Extreme wind chills in the area are forecast for -40 to -45 this morning.
Temperatures are expected to remain through tonight and into Sunday morning.
Environment Canada advises people in the effected areas not to stay outside for more than a few minutes at a time, as frostbite can develop quickly.
Hearings Requested for Hydro's Minnesota Transmission Project
Conservation Minister Tom Nevakshonoff says they want Manitobans to have the opportunity to share their views on the proposal.
