With an election on the horizon, the Manitoba government has outlined a number of capital projects in Prairie Mountain Health to be completed in the next two years.
22 projects at facilities throughout the region are getting a total investment of more than $1.4-million.
Some of the projects include an air conditioning unit replacement at St. Paul's Personal Care Home in Dauphin, hallway handrail and wall guard installation at the Winnipegosis Health Centre, and fire alarm panel replacement a the Russell Personal Care Home.
Brian Schoonbaert, Prairie Mountain Health vice-president of finance, capital and support services says these projects are selected based on annually identified priorities and available resources.
