The Manitoba government has released a plan designed to fight climate change and protect the environment, saying it wants to cut one-third of greenhouse gasses by 2030.
Dan Mazier, president of Keystone Agricultural Producers, spoke at the press conference held today.
He says KAP will be at the table for developing how we mitigate greenhouse gasses.
"Agriculture partially is the answer, but partially (is) the second biggest emitter of greenhouse gasses, supposedly, in the province of Manitoba. So we've got some challenges as far as how we have that discussion but at least the government has invited us."
Among other things, the government says the new climate plan will work to drive innovation in transportation and agriculture.
