Tree's a crowd in Swan River this week for the annual festival of trees.
The festival is a Christmas tree decorating contest put on by the Swan Valley Chamber of Commerce and Northwest Regional Library.
Head librarian Kathy Sterma, says the root of the festival started when the town of Swan River received some national recognition.
"It was organized at the time when Swan River was recognized as the Forest Capital of Canada. The Chamber of Commerce spearheads it, and the chamber looks after it someone who will partner with them, and for the last two years, the Northwest Regional Library has partnered with them."
Sterma says there were 14 trees entered when the festival started yesterday and festival runs until Saturday.
