The winner of this year's Dauphin and District Chamber of Commerce's storefront decorating contest had more competition to contend with.
Stephen Chychota with the Chamber says there were 12 businesses entered this year, one more than last year.
"It seemed that the competition was a lot more fierce this year. Everyone wanted to outdo themselves and everyone else compared to last year."
Style Mercantile was judged the winner on Friday. Last year's winner, the Almost New Store, was runner-up and Total Paradise was third.
Chychota says Style Mercantile seemed to have a very cohesive storefront and they followed the theme of the contest nicely.
The store gets $250 worth of Chamber bucks, sponsored by Manitoba Hydro.
