Catcheway Family Finds New Witness
 
The family of Jennifer Catcheway says the search for the missing
woman has moved away from a garbage dump.

On Friday, searchers began to comb a densely packed area of trees
and bushes next to a clearing on the Dakota Tipi First Nation where
a party was held the night the Catcheway went missing in 2008.

Family members say they found a new witness to the events of that
night while they were searching the property.

They say that witness is now speaking to police.
 
U Of M Truth And Reconciliation Archive Set To Open
 
The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation will hold
opening ceremonies on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The archive at the University of Manitoba will house millions of
residential school records and graphic accounts of abuse that
survivors gave to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Its aim is to balance those survivors' privacy concerns with the
need to educate the public about one of the darkest chapters in
Canadian history.
 
Vigil Today For Victims Of Boat Capsizing
 
There will be a candlelight vigil in Tofino, BC late this
afternoon to pay tribute to five people who died and one still
missing after a whale-watching boat sank one week ago.

Residents will gather at the First Street dock with candles,
flowers and cedar boughs to share their stories, experiences and
give thanks to people who responded to the boat's call for help.

The body of a 27-year-old Australian man has not been recovered.
 
Crash Of Russian Plane Under Investigation
 
More than 100 Russian emergency workers are expected to join the
investigation today into the crash of a Russian airliner in a remote
part of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.

Russia has dismissed militant claims that they brought the plane
down, but there is no clear indication on the cause of the crash.
All 224 people aboard were killed.

Several airlines have decided to stop flying over the Sinai
Peninsula until more is known.
 
Wreckage Found Near Bahamas Could Be From Missing Ship
 
The search could begin as early as today using a deep ocean
vehicle to help confirm whether wreckage found in about 46 hundred
metres of water east of the Bahamas is the cargo ship El Faro.

It disappeared October 1st in heavy seas during Hurricane Joaquin
with 33 crew members aboard.

Investigators want to survey the wreckage and locate the ship's
voyage data recorder.
 
Blue Jays Fans "Doesn't Regret" Bautista Tattoo
 
Even though the Toronto Blue Jays didn't make it to the World
Series, an Oshawa, Ontario man says he doesn't regret getting a
tattoo of right fielder Jose Bautista's bat flip.

Byran Bevins got the tattoo on his thigh the day after the Jays
won their series against the Texas Rangers.

The superfan got to meet Bautista and the rest of the Jays.
