More Deaths From Capsized Ukrainian Boat
The number of people who died when a Ukrainian excursion boat capsized in the Black Sea has risen to 14.
Emergency services say the accident was caused by the vessel being overloaded. The boat carried 37 people when it capsized, more than twice the maximum number of 15 people allowed.
The boat's captain has been detained.
The Ivolga capsized Saturday evening in a storm near the major port city of Odesa.
Olga Shevchuk of the state emergency services said Sunday that the death toll rose overnight to 14, while 19 of the 23 people who were saved remained hospitalized.

Equality Rally
Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger has unveiled a proclamation calling on all Manitobans to stand up for equality, human rights and diversity.
The NDP premier attended a rally at the legislature yesterday that was called "Our Canada, One Canada.''
He urged Manitobans to reject rhetoric that aims to divide Canadians according to different backgrounds and beliefs.
Selinger says the province's diverse, multicultural heritage enriches quality of life.

Vita ER Needs Doctors
Three years after the emergency room in Vita, Manitoba, was closed, the status remains the same.
R-M of Stuartburn reeve Jim Swidersky says the municipality has been told three full-time doctors are needed there before the ER will reopen.
According to Swidersky, there are three doctors today but one is only part-time.
He says in the meantime, residents can get used to increased sightings of STARS air ambulance.
He also says people with critical health concerns will continue to move out of the community.
