Ochre River Getting Dutch-Canadian Frienship Tulip Garden
Seven-hundred red and white tulips are going to be planted in Ochre River this coming Monday.
The Ochre River Recreation Commission is one of 140 recipients of 70th Anniversary Dutch-Canadian Friendship Tulip Gardens being distributed across Canada
Evelyn Thacker says the dirt's been hauled in and they're ready to plant.
She says it's a good thing to get people involved in things like this.
"The garden'll be nice and we're starting a little park there so it'll look good there, and the kids I think will understand about the war more, too."
Thacker is hoping for about a dozen people to help plant on Monday, with kids from the local school coming to help. She says anyone is welcome to show up.
The planting takes place at 1pm in McLennan Park.

Record-Setting Lotto Jackpot
It's the biggest lottery jackpot in Canadian history.
Approximately 64-million dollars will be up for grabs in tonight's Lotto 6-49 draw.
The odds of striking it rich are said to be about one-in-14-million.
The previous lottery record of 63.4-million was for a 6-49 draw in April of 2013.
That pot was split among four ticketholders, with each banking almost 16-million.
