The Manitoba Government and General Employees Union has handed more than 1,000 postcards over to Manitoba's minister of health, Sharon Blady.
The postcards have written on them issues that health care support workers in the Prairie Mountain Health region face.
MGEU President Michelle Gawronsky says that staffing is the biggest of many issues that health care support workers face on a daily basis.
"The stress that this is causing, the stress of not having proper equipment and proper patient safety and security. The stress that that's caused is causing our members to go home feeling very unwell and not satisfied that the best job could have been done."
Gawronsky also says that morale is at an all-time low.
Blady says yesterday's meeting was a really good first step and it confirmed the importance of listening to the concerns and ideas from frontline staff.
