The Mountain View School Division says everything is on schedule for the renovations of the gymnasium at the DRCSS.
Secretary Treasurer Bart Michaleski says they've completed all the structural work for the project, with the renovations set to be finished by early December.

"The project entailed pulling the cement slab, putting piles in, re-pouring a new slab floor on the piles. That work has been completed, the slab's been poured adn right now it's in the clearing stage. While the floor is clearing, they're tackling projects like the painting and they'll be looking at the acoustic ceiling and the replacements that need to happen there."

Michaleski says once the floor is cleared, crews will start laying the hardwood floor on the gym, likely in the coming weeks.

Now that the concrete slab for the floor has been poured, Michaleski says the biggest part of the project is now completed.

"From here on out, the building is now sealed back in and so it's just all interior work now, so they'll be able to move along there at the pace that they've set, and we're not anticipating any delays at this time."

DRCSS principal Norman Casavant says they haven't noticed much of a change in programming yet, since they are usually outside at this time of year.
