Heat And Humidity Still Here
A special weather statement continues in much of Manitoba, including the Parkland.
Environment Canada says the temperature with the humidex will reach around 40 this weekend.
The northern Parkland is also one of several regions, mostly in Central Manitoba, still under an air quality advisory due to smoke.

Train Derailment In Saskatchewan
Twelve cars of a C-N Rail train jumped the tracks 15-kilometres north of Yorkton.
The derailment happened yesterday near Ebenezer.
A tanker car carrying liquid sulphur sprang a leak, but C-N says the spill is contained and will be cleaned up.
Twelve homes were temporarily evacuated, however, no one was injured.

Parkland parties!
Two big Parkland celebrations continue today.
It's a big day for the Winnipegosis Centennial celebrations with a parade beginning at 11 this morning.
The Gilbert Plains-Grandview Ag Society's Fair and Rodeo has a full day, including lawn mower races, chuckwagon and chariot races, and a pancake breakfast that has already kicked off.
A pancake breakfast in Winnipegosis is set for 8am at the Elk's Hall.

Greece Talks
Eurozone finance ministers meet today to study a plan by financially-beleaguered Greece to cut spending, trim pensions, and boost taxes.
The ministers will decide if the plan will pave the way for formal talks that could lead to Greece getting its third bailout in five years.
Without that bailout, Greece faces default and the possibility of leaving the group of 19 countries that use the euro as their currency.

John Fogerty Lawsuit
John Fogerty is suing two of his former Creedence Clearwater Revival bandmates.
Fogerty claims bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug Clifford haven't paid him since 2011 for performing CCR hits with their new group.
The suit doesn't say how much money Fogerty is seeking.
