The eighth annual Manitoba Youth Beef Roundup kicks off at the Beautiful Plains Complex in Neepawa at the end of this month.
Chairperson Lois McRae says the roundup is open to any juniors under the age of 25 (as of January 1) interested in the livestock industry.
"Any Manitoba, or Saskatchewan, or Ontario, or basically anyone that's interested in livestock industry and wants to come out and learn. We'll be teaching about the new verified beef program, there'll be lots of educational stuff along with the cattle show to finish it off on Sunday."
Entries must be in by July 10. Entry forms can be found on the Manitoba Youth Beef Roundup Facebook page or you can call a committee member.
The weekend event runs July 31 to August 2.
